Ann Klein, Ed.D. is professor Emerita from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from University of Wisconsin-Madison, a master’s degree in history from University of California, Los Angeles, and a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from University of Massachusetts.

Dr. Klein taught history and English in middle and secondary schools in New Jersey, New York and Massachusetts for 20 years before earning her doctoral degree. Subsequently, she taught in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, where, in 1997, she was recognized with the University’s Excellence in Teaching Award. She has shared her findings about gifted education in such national arenas as the National Association for Gifted Children, the Henry B. and Jocelyn Wallace International Research Symposium on Talent Development, and the World Council for Gifted Children.

For many years, Dr. Klein was director of a summer institute for teachers titled “Celebrating Gifted Education.” In 2000, the Wisconsin Association of Talented and Gifted presented her with the Outstanding Service Award in recognition of her work on behalf of the organization.
